Who Is Shaking the Jar

For the better part of 72 months, the focus of some 170 million Americans has been on one man –– Donald J. Trump.

I bring this fact to your attention not only because I find it intriguing, but also because in recent weeks I have come to the conclusion that this obsession, on all sides, may be penned into the historical records of a once great nation as one of the chief reasons for its disintegration as a nation of significance.

Before you judge me mad, hear me out.

For the entire 48 months of his term as the 45th President of the United States, an entire segment of our national government was singularly focused upon one single goal: To remove Donald J. Trump from office; “by any means necessary,” to quote Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

Voters who supported Hillary Clinton in her campaign against Trump were gobsmacked, shocked, and blown into utter, hysterical disbelief when he was elected President. Convinced beyond dispute that he had somehow stolen the election from Clinton, they cheered the Democratic arm of our government on in their quest to remove Trump from office.

For the entire 48 months of his term, our government was engulfed in hearings, dossiers, Russian collusion, wire-taps, Baron bashing, and Melania shaming. All things Trump were beaten, bashed, mocked, and disparaged at every turn. Actual legislative responsibilities were abandoned in the great crusade to “get” Donald by any means. It didn’t matter the source, evidence, corroboration, or veracity––any accusation of malevolent behavior by Trump was voraciously consumed and communicated by at least half of the voters of America.

During the first 24 months of Joe Biden’s administration, our government has been focused on one man –– Donald J. Trump.

By “whatever means” he was removed from office, and when that happened rather than getting on with governing the nation we learned that getting him out of the White House was only part of the goal for now, “by any means possible,” the goal is to destroy him, to prosecute him, to send him to prison. He is to be neutralized, canceled, and erased.

The joke is on everyone. He may no longer have a residence in the White House, but he still lives large in the minds of those who hate him the most.

For the entire 48 months of his term as the 45th President of the United States, an entire segment of our nation was singularly focused upon a single goal: To enshrine Donald J. Trump as the greatest President in American history.

Voters who supported his campaign against Hillary Clinton were ecstatic when Donald Trump won the White House, convinced that he was going to single handely “make America great again,” and what was the other thing? Oh yeah, Donald Trump was going to “save America.”

As opposition from the left grew, the singular focus of fully one-half of the nation was to defend him, to protect him, to enshrine him as the great hope for America. It pains me to admit it, but in the past 72 months, I have heard far more praise and seen far more exaltation of this man by the Christian establishment and many of my Christian brothers and sisters than I have heard for Christ Himself.

There is a stark warning here for all of us: God will not share His glory with any man, and any man who takes precedence in our thoughts and speech over the Lord of the church will fall.

In the first 24 months of Joe Biden’s administration, our government has been singularly focused on one man –– Donald J. Trump.

Outrage reigns over the actions of the House of Representatives and the Biden administration's singular focus on erasing Trump's influence over America -– and by way of association, anyone who dares confess their support of him. Our government is still consumed by hearings, testimonies, and raids on Trump’s home. During those same 24 months, Trump supporters have rallied the troops as if he were a king ruling in exile.

Here is my opinion on the matter. It is mine. You will not be punished or canceled if you should disagree. As I have expressed it to a limited circle I must say I my conviction is not universally accepted. In fact, there are a few folks who think my cheese has fallen off the cracker, so to speak. Fortunately for me, I've been there before so I'm generally impervious. You can brand me whatever kind of nut-case fits your fancy, but in the end, I'm going to go with Luther: "To go against conscience is neither right nor safe. I therefore cannot, and I will not recant! Here I stand."

In the 72 months during which the attention of 170 million plus/minus voters has been riveted on this one man, the tapestry of the United States of America is being meticulously unraveled by sinister forces who have utilized this six years of distraction to fulfill the promise that Barack Obama made in 2008 - to “fundamentally change America.” This entire circus has been brilliantly masterminded in the spiritual realm to hypnotize an entire population, to blind an entire nation to what is really going on behind the curtain.

Behind all of the yelling, canceling, name-calling, rioting, looting, burning, hearings, accusations, court cases, raids, and general chaos sinister forces are giggling in glee as they realize they were right all along: Give this generation the right distraction and we are too stupid to see what is really going on. This is not an accusation against the left, nor an endorsement of the right. No matter where you stand in the political spectrum, we are all going to suffer loss in the end.

What needs to happen right now . . . and I mean right now . . . is for Toto to pull down the curtain and expose the wizard –– because it's not Joe Biden and it's not Donald Trump. Biden and Trump are little more than marionettes, masterfully manipulated by whoever is pulling the strings in what could be America’s last act.

The following illustration is attributed to Richard Attenborough, but no one knows who really said it. But, it fits the hour.

If you put 100 red ants in a jar and you put 100 black ants in a jar –– nothing will happen. If you shake the jar, the ants will begin to kill one another. The red ants will believe the black ants are the enemy and the black ants will believe the red ants are the enemy when in truth the enemy is the one shaking the jar.

It is time we grow a brain and ask, “Who is shaking the jar?”

"For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places." [Epehsians 6:12]
